Unbelievable Transportation Feat: Discover How Colossal Structures Journeyed to Transform Energy

In a remarkable display of engineering prowess, Indian-based Express Global Logistics (EXG) recently achieved an extraordinary milestone that is set to revolutionize green energy in Saudi Arabia. This audacious endeavor involved the relocation of colossal modules, vital to a cutting-edge green hydrogen project, with each piece weighing in at a substantial 250 tonnes.

Impressive Scale and Technology

EXG undertook the herculean task of transporting 14 enormous modules, each comparable in size to a small structure, measuring an impressive 50 meters in length, 12 meters in width, and 18 meters in height. Collectively, these modules weighed approximately 1,500 freight tonnes. Tapping into their advanced Megaload fleet, EXG relied on the state-of-the-art Scheuerle self-propelled modular transporters to manage these considerable weights.

Sophisticated Transportation Techniques

To achieve this logistical miracle, eight modules were adeptly maneuvered onto vessels using the roll-on roll-off (RoRo) technique, ensuring a smooth transition onto the ships. Meanwhile, specialized transporter units were employed for the remaining six, ferrying them to the jetty, where they were subsequently lifted into position by powerful crawler cranes. The entire process was a testament to EXG’s meticulous planning and mastery in overcoming complex challenges.

Strategic Partnerships and Expanding Expertise

Demonstrating strategic foresight, EXG partnered with Italian firm Fagioli, enhancing their capabilities through the Megaload venture initiated in early 2023. This collaboration aims to broaden their influence in the petrochemical and construction sectors, underpinning the future of green energy solutions.
